Happy Adventures 2018!

I can’t believe its 2018 already! I’ve spent last month confirming contracts and dates, so I know it is 2018, and yet? I completely understand the phrase “time flies when you’re having fun.” We have lots of fun planned for you in 2018!

We aren’t even two weeks into the New Year and look what is going on...I was a guest designer for the first block of a scavenger hunt quilt. If you haven’t checked the quilt out yet, simply follow this link. Besides the scavenger hunt quilt, our Block of the Month Friendship Quilt continues. If you are interested in joining us for our BOM, simply follow this link and be sure you sign up for our Facebook page Triplett Sisters BOM here.

This week I’ve been working with the Texas Quilt Museum to set up the Indigo Quilts Exhibition. As you can tell from the photo, the staff and volunteers did a wonderful job with the installation. Saturday January 13 at 3 pm, I’ll be giving a presentation at the museum about the history of indigo and info about these quilts. The Texas Quilt Museum is celebrating by letting you in for free after 2 pm! If you aren’t familiar with the Texas Quilt Museum follow the link and please join me on Saturday.

Guess what? This is one of 3-4 Poos Collection exhibitions planned for this year. To help people keep track, I’ll setup “events” on our Facebook page here as well as on the first page of our website. The next Poos Collection exhibition is scheduled for June in conjunction with MOKA (Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas) Quilt Study Group.

None of this even includes all the new classes, workshops, and presentations at quilt guilds, festivals and quilts shops. Inspired by our trip to Netherlands and antique quilts in the collection, this year I am offering an emphasis on paper piecing. We have a few spots left for booking in 2018, but we have already begun booking for 2019 and beyond...so please don’t hesitate to contact us, if you are interested in a workshop or presentation in your neighborhood. It’s going to be a crazy, wonderful year full of antique quilts and quilting. We wish the same for you!
